Executive Director Carol Lieske To Retire

After over a decade of service, Executive Director Carol Lieske will retire from Main Street at the end of June 2024. Carol has helped Main Street grow and thrive in serving its children and families, regardless of financial circumstances. She has brought Main Street to the forefront of early childhood education in the Northern Virginia region, as a leader of early childhood mental health and collaborating with others to serve the needs of all children. She has helped over 500 children transition to kindergarten, supported nearly 1,000 families in becoming active and engaged participants in their child’s education, and helped countless staff members grow in their teaching and administration.

For 30 years, Carol has served the early childhood education community, providing for some of the youngest, most vulnerable members of our community. We sincerely thank Carol for her service and leadership at Main Street and beyond.

If you’d like to thank Carol for her service, please feel free to send cards and letters to the office at 4401 Sideburn Rd. Fairfax, VA 22030 or email them here. You are also welcome to stop by the office to thank her in person (please call first). Finally, Carol requests that in lieu of gifts, you are encouraged to donate to Main Street to support the future of our young people.

Thank you, Carol!
