Main Street Child Development Center (MSCDC) is proud to be accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs,
which administers the only national, voluntary, professionally-sponsored accreditation system for all types of schools and child care centers. The Academy is a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s largest organization of early childhood educators. In order to obtain this accreditation, Main Street voluntarily completed the
comprehensive process of internal self-study and was evaluated by an external team of professionals to verify compliance
with the Academy’s criteria for high quality early childhood programs.

We have also been awarded a 4-Star rating in the Virginia Star Quality Initiative program from Smart Beginnings,
a service of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation.
