Ms. Mary Wilkinson is a Fairfax County Public Schoolt teacher whom we are fortunate to have at Main Street Child Development Center. A preschool special education teacher, Ms. Mary has a master's degree in elementary education from Florida State University, and she has done additional course work at George Mason University and the University of Virginia for an endorsement in preschool special education.

She came to her career in special education when one of her own sons was diagnosed with a developmental delay. The lovely workbenches are a result of her eldest son's Eagle Scout project.

"Children with special needs benefit tremendously when they are surrounded by their peers," says Ms. Mary. "It is my job to provide strategies to children and teachers so all have a successful educational experience."
