Mark Gardner, MSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Mr. Gardner has been assisting children and families in Northern Virginia for over thirteen years. He has a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and is licensed as a clinical social worker by the state of Virginia.

In addition to extensive experience with adults, children and families with a range of behavioral and emotional concerns Mr. Gardner has spent the last six years specializing with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary-school-age children and their families. He is also certified as a Trauma and Loss Specialist by the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Gardner worked for the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board and Inova Kellar Center.


How Mr. Gardner works with your child and family:

Focusing on each child`s unique personality, behavior and environment, Mr. Gardner conducts a comprehensive assessment, then works collabratively with parents, teachers and other professionals to develop and implement an individualized plan to foster a child`s optimal functioning and growth.
