Ms. Fatime
Ms. Fatime joined Main Street Child Development Center in 2004 as a teacher
assistant working with the Rainbow Classroom. In the last five years she has worked
diligently to improve her credentials and has completed three Northern Virginia
Community College classes, numerous workshops, and she has received
her Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate.
She graduated from Pristina University as a professional educator in early childhood
and spent the next 20 years teaching English and art in Kosovo, former Yugoslavia,
prior to working in education in New Jersey and Virginia.
In addition to her years of teaching, Ms. Fatime brings a rather unique talent to Main Street.
As an artist, she has had two exhibitions and has murals in both her former Kosovo
school and three in her current location. In addition to improving her teaching skill,
Ms. Fatime can be found in her home creating works of art in acrylics, water colors
and oil pastels.
