Main Street Receives Highest Virginia Quality Rating!
We are very proud that Main Street has received the highest rating possible (Level 5) from Virginia Quality, a state program for unified assessment of early child development programs. This is an extraordinary accomplishment as only one other child development center in the Northern Virginia has achieved Level 5. Virginia Quality conducted a thorough review of virtually every aspect of our program. Our classrooms were observed by assessors whose focus is on teacher effectiveness and interactions in creating a positive, engaging and enriched learning experience for our children. In good standing with licensing and/or regulatory standards
Employs staff with formal education in early childhood education
Implements a best-practice curriculum or other teaching approach aligned with Virginia’s Early Learning Guidelines
Through an on-site classroom observation, the program consistently demonstrated a high-quality learning environment with many, positive social and academic interactions between children an teachers
Participates in ongoing professional development in accordance with Virginia Quality Standards
